    1. Bahan Bakar

    Bahan bakar yang masuk ke dalam ruang bakar atau mesin akan meninggalkan residu. Mengendap dan mengeras pada logam di dalam mesin, performa motor bisa saja terganggu.

    Kotoran pada bahan bakar juga bisa timbul akibat kompresi tidak seimbang antara kebutuhan mesin dengan tingkat oktan. Umumnya, bahan bakar dengan oktan rendah tidak bisa menyesuaikan kebutuhan mesin sepeda motor yang semakin modern.

    1. Udara

    Meski pada sepeda motor terdapat filter udara, bukan berarti penyaringan dapat dilakukan dengan sempurna. Kotoran yang ikut masuk melewati filter udara tidak akan keluar melalui asap kenalpot, sehingga mengendap di ruang bakar dan mengganggu performa mesin.

    3. Oli

    Jenis oli memiliki tingkatan, yakni oli mineral, oli semi synthetic, oli full syntethic, oli PAO (Poly Alpha Olefin) hingga ester.

    Semakin rendah tingkatan oli, maka hasil kerja yang dihasilkan juga tak lebih baik. Jenis oli dengan tingkatan rendah tidak mampu memproteksi mesin terutama overheat.

    Tingkatan jenis oli yang rendah juga cenderung menyisakan sludge (lumpur) pada mesin.
